Rachel Yurek is a licensed attorney with experience in family, probate, and civil matters, as well as an extensive background in railroad collective bargaining disputes. Unlike many attorneys, Ms. Yurek started her legal career as a law clerk for a family law judge, which gives her a unique perspective to view disputes with a focus on reaching resolution in the parties' best interest, as a judge would, rather than as a zealous advocate for an individual client's wishes.
Ms. Yurek maintains a law license in Arkansas and is a certified mediator in Texas. Yurek ADR offers private mediation services at a competitive rate for matters of all kinds, as well as flat-fee family mediation through Tarrant County Dispute Resolution. Helping families navigate through high-conflict situations and reach a mutual decision that’s truly in the best interest of the child(ren) involved is always preferable to litigation.
For parties who wish to have a final and binding resolution of their dispute, Yurek ADR also offers arbitration services. Ms. Yurek has more than a decade of experience in labor-management relations, including collective bargaining agreement interpretation, negotiation, and drafting. As Carrier member for a Class I railroad, she participated in hundreds of arbitrations and is familiar with both National Railroad Adjustment Board (NRAB) and Public Law Board (PLB) proceedings. Ms. Yurek is on the AAA Labor, FINRA, and National Mediation Board (NMB) rosters of arbitrators, and she anticipates joining the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) roster shortly.
